Hello everyone, in this last post, I'm going to write to you about the learning I have had in the English course.

Regarding the experience I have had learning English at the university, I have found it to be quite good. Unlike "liceo", I feel that this time I have managed to understand the language even more, to the point of understanding better the songs, movies and series that are in English. Personally I like the language very much, I find it essential to learn, so every time I entered one of the classes, I tried to enjoy it and participate.

Regarding the blogs, I find them a lot of fun. They distract me from the university stress, since they always tend to write about interesting topics, so I feel good doing them. Moreover, through them, you can get to know more about other classmates, since they usually write about their own personal topics and tastes on a weekly basis, which makes it even more dynamic and fun.

When I was in "liceo", I used to speak the language often with my best friend. She loves the language and she spoke and understood it perfectly. She was the person I interacted with the most using English. Now she lives in another city, so I no longer have anyone to practice with or laugh with when trying to speak it. The people around me don't usually understand or don't usually handle the basics like maybe I can, so it's not usually common in my environment. Beyond that, I try to keep it in mind in my day to day life, whether it's watching movies, language settings on my phone, and in a game. I often play Duolingo, and there I try to practice and spend my free time trying to learn more, as I believe it's the only way not to lose knowledge of the language, which I am very interested in learning and I hope that when I graduate, I will end up speaking and understanding it perfectly. I would love to.

Hello everyone, through this post I'm going to write about the changes that could be made to the architecture program of study.

The current program of study that the career has seems to me to be quite complete. I feel that it covers very important and essential areas in the career, which should not be missing. By this I mean mathematics, history, urban planning, research, workshops, among others. However, I feel that this current program lacks a course related to drawing and the use of programs. Unfortunately there is no specialized course that teaches drawing or programming. For this reason many students when we start our careers feel at a disadvantage or overwhelmed by not having a foundation of these qualities. As time goes on, we must learn how to draw and use programs quickly and "roughly" or else you fall behind and run the risk of doing poorly. So I feel that if there were courses that taught that, it would be very helpful for everyone, especially in first year.

The career has an estimated duration of 5 ½ years, but the truth is that it's always finished in the 6th year or even more, and that is due to the clash of courses that exists when you repeat a course. The career itself is difficult, demands a lot of time, and has a heavy academic load, especially in the areas of calculus and workshops. That is why very few people finish in the estimated time specified in the program of study.

Unfortunately when I started studying architecture in 2020, it was the arrival of COVID-19 to the country, so I could only visit FAU 3 times and it was very momentary. So I didn't have the chance to know it completely or the technology it has. To this day I have not visited the faculty again, so I could not explain anything more about it.

For the same reason explained above, the teaching methods that have been applied have been clearly online. Personally, it has been quite difficult for me to adapt to it, but I'm also clear that it's the only way, so I always try to find a motivation to enter classes and learn. It's estimated that next year it will be all face to face and the truth is that I would love it. I'm looking forward to that moment.

Hi everyone, through this post, I'm going to write about where I would like to go if I could travel to the future.

If I had the possibility to travel to the future, I would like to visit the day I graduated as an architect. The reason is because I would love to see myself and say "you made it". So far it's one of my biggest dreams, to be able to graduate and continue studying, but I would like to be able to go to that specific moment, because I have not had a very good time and the career is becoming more and more complicated. I have thought on many occasions that I'm going to fail for the same reason and I get too depressed. So to be able to see myself in the future, and see that I could achieve it, would be a dream.
At the same time, I would like to go to that certain moment and see all those people who continued until the end with me and who believed in me whether it be: friends, classmates, family and to realize who are really worth it.

Even though I would love to live that moment, I would not stay there, I would go back to the present and continue my fourth semester. I know it has been hard, and that on more than one occasion I have felt that I will not make it, but I feel that every process, every moment, every frustration, every sorrow, and every cry, will allow me to be a better person tomorrow and even a better future architect. To live each one of those emotions when you feel that you can't give more, and then to see that you really achieved it, is a unique satisfaction. I look forward to that moment.

Hello everyone, through this post, I'm going to write about my future job.

The job I would like to have in the future would ideally be related to what I study, that is, to work as an architect.

I imagine myself being a good professional, a great architect with several postgraduate degrees. I would like to be able to work in interior design, urban planning and directly in the construction of spaces that are created and designed by me. I have high expectations for my future, which I hope to achieve. So every day I try to strive hard enough to become everything I want to be.

I would love to have my own company or work directly with one of them. To have my own outdoor office. I feel that a relaxed environment in the outdoor space helps more with concentration and relaxation or at least it works for me. An airy environment, with natural light where you can appreciate the scenery, is very important to me.

In the future, when I become an architect, I would like to travel, but not as much as now or when I graduate. By the time I'm a professional, I would like to be established in a place, to work continuously in a space and place that suits me. Although if the conditions allow it, I would travel, but it would be momentary.

Hello everyone, through this post, I'm going to write about the career I'm studying.

I'm currently in my fourth semester of Architecture. So, based on the time I have been studying and what I have researched about the career, I'll write to you about some things about the profession.

The positive aspects are:  It's a career with a high level of knowledge both of place and spaces, as well as mathematical and physical. It's directly related to artistic expressions. It's very versatile in the fields of specialization. There is always something new to learn. It's an open space for creativity. It can improve people's quality of life. Among others.

The benefits of studying architecture are directly related to the positive aspects. Being a very versatile career, which gives you countless knowledge, so many historical, artistic, cultural, etc. It allows you to relate to and be intrigued by its history. This leads you to travel to different countries in order to know each of the architectural works that are housed there, which are usually majestic.

I chose this career because I was always struck by the fact that it was so versatile and that the things I studied were of great interest to me. At the same time, the career in its curriculum has branches that I love. Besides, I really like drawing, and everything related to art and detail.

Hello everyone, through this post, I'm going to write about how I met the love of my life.

His name is Duke, he has been my dog for about 2 years. The story with Duke started very sad. I found him unfortunately about to die in the street, it was a very sad situation and remembering it gives me a strange feeling. I saw him in really horrible conditions due to the mistreatment he received when he was only 1 month old.

When I found him like that, I didn't hesitate for a second to pick him up and take him to a veterinary clinic. I remember calling my dad crying, telling him about the situation and that I would use his car. At the same time, I remember the vet telling me that he had Dystemper's, because he couldn't walk, was crawling and urinating on his own. She told me he didn't have more than a few days to live. Hearing that broke my heart, but I didn't give up and took him to other clinics, where it was found that he was a healthy dog, but due to the beatings and mistreatment it would take months of recovery. So, I decided to take care of him.

I remember perfectly the first time he was able to walk, I was so excited that I filmed him and took a 1000 pictures. After that, I started to watch his recovery process closely, and I became more and more proud of him.

Today Duke is a beautiful, healthy and happy dog. He became one of the family since I found him. My family often says that I have a "grandmother's heart", and the truth is that I do. If I have the chance to help an abandoned and mistreated animal, I'll do it without hesitation. Maybe that's the reason why I have 4 dogs and 4 cats. I'm very happy :D

This photo was taken a few weeks after I found him. I had taken him to the vet, he wasn't walking yet and he was afraid of me.

This photo gives me a good laugh. That day he had vaccination control and always fell asleep in the car.

In this photo he was taking him to be sterilized. I remember him being scared and trying to calm him down.

This last picture is more recent. Duke is playing with another of my dogs, her name is Alicia and they are very good friends.

Thank you for reading my post.

Hello everyone, through this post I am going to write about the best vacation I have ever had.

It was a trip I made alone on August 7, 2021. I traveled to the south of Chile, specifically to the city of ConcepciΓ³n. I had already visited that city a few months ago, but this time I got to know it better, as well as the other cities adjacent to it. You could say that I got to know a large part of the BΓo BΓo Region.

When I was there, I toured much of the city, to learn a little more about it, since it is known for having beautiful scenery and quiet places. So while I was there I spent a lot of time walking around. Between that, I also had the opportunity to get to know other cities and towns in the region, since I visited Talcahuano, Penco, Tomé, Chiguayante and Lirquén. Moreover, between those weeks, I had the privilege of visiting other places outside the region such as: Salto del laja, Los Ángeles, Santa BÑrbara, and Alto Bío Bío.

These vacations or actually "mini vacations", lasted almost 3 weeks (unfortunately), but without a doubt they have been the best I have ever had. Besides, I had a great companion, my boyfriend was my tour guide, so I enjoyed those days to the fullest. For this reason, so far it has been the best so far. I hope someday, not too far away, to go again or rather, I hope to continue having the opportunity to know the south of my country, because it is beautiful.

I took this picture on one of my trips to Talcahuano. I love it.
